About David

David has lived in the East Bay for over thirty years, and has a thorough knowledge of the Bay Area. He works with Claire to carry out the various tasks to prepare and market your home. David and Claire show your home together so that more potential buyers will have the best “hands on” introduction to your home and will know first hand the its top features.

David has special expertise and experience in helping homeowners maximize tax savings on real estate sales.  As the Director of Planned Giving at the University of San Francisco for over a decade, he has frequently helped homeowners make use of charitable trusts and other special “planned gift” arrangements.  David knows how to direct these planned gifts to reduce the often sizeable capital gain tax on the sale of residential or investment property.  He enables donors to support their favorite charity and to provide for themselves through life income payments that these planned gifts can provide.

 

About Claire

Claire is a fourth generation resident of the East Bay. She listens to your needs and goals, then helps you prepare a plan to meet them. Claire uses a special objectives timeline to assist you. With a large network of professional resource people, including inspectors, painters, plumbers, stagers, gardeners, and engineers, she will quickly and efficiently provide services needed for the sale or purchase of your home.

Patient and trustworthy, she will pro-actively help you navigate the complexities that surround most sales or purchases of homes today. As a gifted negotiator, her aim is to get you the best value.

One of the greatest challenges in home preparation is clearing clutter. Claire has 17 years experience as a fine arts professor. Her trained, artist's eye, can see how to maximize a home's unique beauty, to realize design and visual layouts, all in support of the marketing of your home or the purchase of a new one.

 

About the Team

Claire and David have a done several hands-on remodeling projects. Ask David about that foundation he put in, or Claire about all the gardens she has created. They are also owners and managers of income property, and can give sound advice when you decide to diversify your investments

They have a two daughters, and a great son-in-law, all of whom live close by. Recreation often involves their love of hiking, especially in the High Sierras and southern Utah. They also spend time at their vacation home in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Both Claire and David are artists who currently work in watercolor.

Their favorite mutt is their large, brown, rescue dog, "Bandit".
